Was it Then...Or is it Now???

I decided to take a couple photos and fade them to colorless, as Lance did in his thread.  Just for fun.

"Just for fun," George ... I think you're all a pack of bloodthirsty Bambi murderers, no matter in chromachrome or BW!

Yeah George that is what i am talking about! Your clothes blended right in where the modern camo stood out like a sore thumb!

Plus another hunter would see you and not mistake you for a deer! Right before that hog hunt i heard another of those sad stories about an archer getting shot because he was in full camo and was sneaking through the woods.

I like your color pics better but I'm a fan of technology so my vote is bias,, plus the camo, dalaa bows and hats take away from the old mystique (the wonder what it must of been like) that those colorless pics would have..

organize a 1940 style hunt with all Period clothes and equipment/ wall tents and document it in all colorless and that would absolutley blow my mind,,,,, and most other people too I'm sure..

Tajue17....There is only one DAS bow there, and it was very similar to what was available in 1970...ie, the Wing Slimline Competition II takedowns. The one I'm holding is a Herter's, 1974 Mag. Takedown.  The photo wasn't presented to suppose an era...just a different perception of the photo itself.

here's the real deal from around 1900, thats great-grandad standing with the tent behind.(he's the one with the handlebar mustache). He was responsible for providing meat for the railroad in northern wisconsin/minnesota.

It's pretty crazy how the red and yellow on that quiver show up as white. The red in some of the other pictures show gray to black. I wonder why?
