Simple Cheap way to attach a Quiver to your bow.
« on: September 28, 2012, 08:04:00 PM »
Here is a simple and cheap way to attach a quiver to any bow without having to drill or spend $100.00.  As we all know Kwikee Quivers come in every configuation and hold anywhere from 3 arrows to 8 depending on your quiver choice.  This attachment is easy to install without the need to unstring your bow, can be removed and installed on another bow in less than 1 minute. All you need is a section of hose, a thumb screw hose clamp, the Kwikee Quiver bracket, some clear hose to place under the screw hose clamp to protect your bows finish. The neat thing about this simple project is the rubber hose acts as a vibration dampner and makes this setup super quiet. I purchased the thumb screw hose clamps at an automotive store and depending on the sizes you can use this to attach quivers to recurves also.

Never thought of that!

Nice job!

How does the hose clamp attach to the quiver brackett?

All you do is take a knife and cut a slit in the hose and insert the hose clamp through the slit.  This is such a simple fix, and you can buy extra Kwikee quiver brackets for $8.00 and use the same quiver on multiple bows.

I am finishing up the hunting season, and the quiver brackets worked great, they never slipped or damaged the bow, and reduced unnecessary movement when stalking.

A little flat black paint would have been a nice touch. That metal reflecting off the flash also reflects sunlight in the field. You could see that thing flashing a half mile away walking through the woods, or sitting in a stand.... food for thought...

Good idea, but I agree with Kirk, that clamp needs to be black or be covered. But it is still a good idea!

Because the quiver is attached by the hose, you will be amazed how it gives when moving through brush, and how when you shot it absorbs the vibration and doesn't shake the arrows, total silence.  The clear tubing is used to protect the bow finish.

With limited modification, I would bet you can use 2 of that type of attachments for other style quivers as well.
