Howard Hill 160 Grain Broadheads

I'm thinking about equiping some Cedar arrows with 160 HH tips. My bow is 50 pounds, but I pull it about 30'' (so I figure it's closer to 55-57). Do you guys and gals think these tips are too heavy? I really like the 3:1 ratio and how slim they are. Besides, they worked for HH... but I'm not shooting a 85# bow...
Thoughts anyone?

160 grains is not that heavy of a head anymore. I think 160-200 grain heads are ideal and a lot of people shoot 300 grain heads with their set ups.. I say go for it

Most of the 11/32 160 grain heads actually come from the factory closer to 175 grains. Pretty easy to take off 10-15 grains in the sharpening though. Might also consider the 5/16 145 grain heads if you think the 160s might be too heavy. Either is easy to mount and they fly very well. Have fun.

Ive shot them out of bows from 45 to 80 lbs, and never had an issue. As long as your shafts and the head are compatible at your poundage, i think your gonna lovem!
Shoot straight and Good Luck!

Awesome. I'll take a pic and post it of the first pig I nab with those arrows.

Not to heavy just might make arrow spine to weak. The folks shooting 300 grains are probably shooting carbon. Should be able to find cedars stiff enough for 50 lbs and 160 on the business end.
