Anyone here got any pull with Easton?
« on: September 30, 2012, 12:07:00 AM »
I would really like to see some FMJ's made with the Legacy finish. I've sent a couple of emails over the past year or so, never heard anything back, of course I didn't really expect to. Just seems to me there's enough guys shooting the FMJ's and they already have the capability to produce the finish... What's everybody else think?

Fred Eichler is on Facebook. He has a LOT to do with the FMJ shafts. It might be worth trying to contact him.

Hadn't thought about that. I have a facebook account, just rarely visit / use it. May have to give that a shot. Thanks!

Start a list of names to send to them if they get enough requests you never know. They just might jump. I'd buy them. Fred is a definite good outlet too. Good luck!!

I talked with Fred about this exact concept at Compton this year.  He thought it was a great idea and said he had a meeting with the Easton folks the following Wednesday about new product ideas and would bring it up.  Never checked back with him on what they thought though.

Don't hold me to this, but it seems like there was a similar thread several years ago about requests for certain finishes they have produced over the years. I remember someone stating they needed to sell something like a 1000 of one size to put it into production.  Of course, I could be wrong.

I'de be interested in them too.  I can't stand that diamond plate finish on them.  They would look sweet with a woodgrain finish on them.

Id shoot em.  Am thinking of going to them next fall, Thanks to Randy.  And Wood grain might just push me over the edge to do it.

I doubt they'd ever do it. The diamond plate finish is kinda like the signature of the FMJs. I also don't think many traditional archer use them, though I think they are aces.
