Sure wish this was Oct 15th

Deer is closed for us 'til the 15th, so I was out looking for turkeys this morning, and this guy presented himself on a platter. He must have read the calendar.
I sure hope he sticks around for a while. As Ike Clanton said in "Tombstone"; I'll see you soon...see you soon.

Only the gurus at Game and Fish know the answer to that. For some reason, my deer area is closed from Oct 1 through Oct 15

Ahhhh, deer density issue. That is better than the "Its gun season so you cant hunt with a bow".

Since we are quoting Tombstone to sum up this situation, I would guess you face could have fit the Doc Holiday quote, "Why Johnny Ringo, you look as though you have seen a ghost..."
Sweet pic and I hope he sticks around for you.
God Bless,
Nathan

Good luck Pat. Hope you get a chance at him.
We have different deer dates across the state. South of the hiway here, rifle season was on 10-1 to 10-7. I was hunting some nice bucks, then season closed. Gun season opens on the north side of hiway on the 15th-21st. I will need to fight off the gun hunters again next week. Then season is over for good down here. We don't have all the land carp as they do up north. I wish we did.

Yep, Charlie, the Wesley is the 'go to' this year. It hasn't had a chance to draw blood yet, but I feel confident that it will shortly.
