I do not own one yet but, I have not heard many bad things at all from the Sage. I have done a great deal of research on the Sage and have shot one at 45#. I really liked it a great deal and will get one in the future. Through my research I can't find anything out there with a compatible price with equal quality to the Sage.  Just my opinion.

I do not have a Sage and have never shot one, but there are a bunch of people at our archery club shooting them and I have not heard of a single issue.  an outdoor store here in town is selling them as fast as they can get them in.  it would make a fine loaner bow.

when 3 Rivers put the Greatree Goshawk on clearance a couple years back, a number of people at the club ended up with one of them.  I have one and it is a fine bow for the money, and maybe a little zippier than the Sage, seems to have a little more hook in the recurve.  one guy had the bottom limb crack almost immediately and made a phone call to Greatree, he had a complete new set of limbs in 3 days, no hassle and did not have to return the others.  other than that, some of these guys have been shooting their Goshawks as their primary bow for a couple of years now and no issues.  but it is a little more money than the Sage.

based on my experience  with the Goshawk I would not hesitate to get a Firefox either.

I own a sage 50# @ 28 and I love it. It is extremely forgiving and fits my hand like a glove. I bought it because of the reviews I found were all positive. If you buy it I dont think you will be dissapointed. Good Luck!!
