I just bought a Cabelas Felt Outback Hat. Check out the pick on their web site. Hat is comfortable and does not interfere with my shooting.

Freds hat is a Stetson, I have a Banjo Paterson Akubra that I like and wear a lot.

I use a Scala wool felt outback hat.  It's crushable and holds shape which is good for camping, comfortable, looks good, and was only $35 from Amazon.

If you don't want to spend the money on a Akubra or Stetson (although I think they would be really nice to have and worth the money)...

I just bought a Bailey Briar and love it.  For the money, it's a great hat.

I have several of these. They are great for bow hunting. The brim stays put, but is soft enough to bend with the bow string. They never interfere with my shots. Highly recommend!

For a similar hat, but a change of pace, I bought a wool short brim hat off the auction site that as treated me real well.  Its acceptable for nearly all weather conditions, besides winter beanie weather.  and awesome in the rain.  give it a search, theres an astounding number of hats out there.

I'm a real hat wearing guy, but finding something you can still shoot well why wearing and keep the weather off to has been a challenge.

I looked for a good oil skin hat for years before running into this one. then i felt kinda foolish because i could have ordered one at Cabellas.

these are called "OutBack" and are perfect IMO.
light weight, keeps the rain off in nasty weather, water proof. And not too hot in warmer weather.

these guys have several different styles but this was my choice.
