I have no trouble fletching helical feathers with my JoJan. Today, I get new arrows,Legacy 1916`s,and all the feathers have gaps between the shaft and the base of the feather..after the glue has dried for 20mins.. I cannot figure how this is possible..anyone ever experience this?

Most likely the diameter of the 1916s is not the same as the last arrows you fletched and you should adjust the alignment of the fletching clamps on the shafts.
Had that problem with the JoJan once or twice too.

I've had it happen on Bitzenberger jigs. I fixed the problem by having my wife do all my fletching for me. She is meticulous about making sure the quill is pressed on.

readjust your jig, and be meticulious about checking each one. God Bless

I think every jig needs adjustment for different shafts, easy fix.

I always check my feather dry before glueing them on to make sure I have good contact at the quill base.I do this every time I glue a feather on.
