One of the best things about having a "sham" company like Lefties R Us, is that the wife never really knows which bows are my custom orders, and which ones are being traded/sold on my site.    :archer:    :biglaugh:

During the last 6 months, I have had several new customs arrive from some of our super Tradgang bowyers.  Several have asked me about these bows, so I have captured these bows in a group photo and am offering up my thoughts based on the attributes that I most look for, and based on a basic 1-5 star rating, which is subjective at best.

From left to right:
1)  Big Foot Sasquatch 60" 52@27"
Very quiet, fast and accurate! Would have given a 4 for fit/finish but specs came in upside down from bowyer, with a couple of other minor issues.

GRIP - 4, FIT/FINISH - 3.5  ACCURACY - 4.5  PERFORMANCE - 5  OVERALL - 4

2) Hill Country Bobcat TD Hybrid - 56" 53@28"
I've tried several of the forward risered take-downs, but this is the best so far.  To boot, it has a wonderful grip and shoots flat out! Kenny & Roman deliver the goods on this bow!!

GRIP - 5  FIT/FINISH - 4.5  ACCURACY - 4.5  PERFORMANCE - 5  OVERALL - 4.75

3) Jack Kemph Kwyk Styk 56" 52@28"
Now I know what all the fuss was for.  Great bows from the Great White North!  I couldn't decide between the KS and Stealth, so now I'm back on the Master's list for a Stealth.

GRIP (GURU) - 4.5  FIT/FINISH - 4  ACCURACY - 5
PERFORMANCE - 4.5  OVERALL 4.5

4)  Dry Ridge TD Recurve - 56" 53@28"
Tim is one of TG's most underrated bowyers.  His work is top notch and his prices are amazing!  His bows perform to my demanding standards, but at a much lower cost basis! I'm BACK on his list!

GRIP - 5  FIT/FINISH - 4  ACCURACY - 4.5 PERFORMANCE - 4 OVERALL 4.5

5) Journeyman TD Recurve - 56" 54@28"
One of the best transactions I have ever had!  Jared provides stellar customer service and builds a wonderful bow that you can take pride in ownership of.  My secong Journeyman!  His list is growing, so it would be a good idea to order one of his beauties NOW.

GRIP - 4 FIT/FINISH - 5  ACCURACY - 4  PERFORMANCE - 5  OVERALL - 4.5

6) Kanati longbow - 58" 52@28"
Jason and his Kanati's have a huge and loyal following and for good reason.  Like many others, you just can't own 1!  He builds a serious 1-piece hybrid longbow!  The only thing I would recommend is to go with his 60" model.  I draw 27", but shoot my 60" model more better.

Grip - 4.5  FIT/FINISH - 4.5  ACCURACY - 4
PERFORMANCE - 4.5  OVERALL 4.5

I enjoyed reading this but I noticed that nothing was said about wait time, bowyer transaction ect with the exception of your great compliment of Jared with which I greatly agree.

God bless you all, Steve

Steve,

All the above were great with respect to that.  Jared was just WAY over-the-top and just more than I've been used to.

You see, he hand-makes a clever wooden box to ship the bow in.  He included a nice hand-out, bow-stringer, bow sock, logo'd stickers, business cards for my friends etc.  He followed thoughtfully before & after the sale as well.

I must say that we are lucky to have such top shelf bowyers like yourself & these mentioned.

Those are great bowyers. I have not heard anything but praise for every one of them and anyone considering a new bow should give each one of these guys especially a good look.
God bless, Steve

Jeff,

As you know, this is a subjective thing, and all of these are keepers & special bows.  But, yes is the answer, it slightly does seem to suit me a little more.  I bet you'll love it!

Hey Monk, glad u love your string!  I ran 15 this morning; have the Memphis St. Jude's Marathon on 12/1.  After that, I was on the tractor for 3 hours.  I hope to get my first deer hunt in next week my Brutha!!  Hope u have a super season!

Those are some amazing bowyers to be compared to.
Roman will be very pleased to learn of your subjective test.
