Moab ?
«

Been looking at bows for a while and because of all I have read on Trad Gang I think it will be a Moab. Now for the questions. I draw 28" should I go with a 60" or 62"? I have read here that the 60" out performs the 62" is that right? Will finger pinch be a problem with the 60" bow? With a Moab 50# @ 28" what carbon shaft would work best for elk?
Thanks.

Awesome decision! I pull 27" and my MOAB is 53 @ 28". My arrows are 30" AD Trad Lites with 200 gr up front.

I can't do a comparison, having only shot a 62", but it was as smooth as silk.

I have a 62" moab right now (wife thinks its hers) and i had a 60"er also for awhile. Not that the 60"er wasn't smooth but the 62" is definitely smoother. I traded off the 60"er for a centaur and don't regret it but the 62"moab has a permanent home here. That being said, If i was ordering another one today i would still order a 60" but i could tell the difference with the longer bow.

Most that have shot both will tell u the 60 is the best length for that design...... fastest ...less hand shock(not that either have any)....quieter.... and even in the category of smoothness. ....both on the draw and release.
U can do a search and find out for yourself as the 60 os overwhelmingly preferred.
No....u wont have a problem with pinch at all.
Even Jim will tell ya.
Great bows.

I draw 28", and prefer the 60 over the 62. I had both and ended up selling the 62". It's a great bow. I shoot 3 under and finger pinch iss not a problem for me. I second trying a GT3555 if you get a 50# bow.

I've had all 3, 58",60", and 62". I guess I'm not as sensitive as most because I can't really notice a diff between them. I currently have a 58" and a 60". I can't tell a diff. They're all great bows and like to hit where you're looking. Not fancy, just a good shooting bow. Hard to beat.

Felix, Thunderstick Archery is a TG sponsor with a banner at the top of Pow Wow here.
I'll admit be being on a bit of a longbow buying "spree" as of late....don't tell my wife though! Picked up 2 MOAB's and they are both excellent shooters. Look, feel, and shoot top notch!

if your drawing to 28 you can eassily shoot both but for a tad more smoothness get the 62" as for speed maybe the difference is 1 fps @ 1" shorter on each limb.
I love 60" recurves and 62" longbows so I'm bias I guess.
