New long bow
« on: October 15, 2012, 05:56:00 PM »
I finally got a custom made long bow.
50" @ 28" AMO 72". Bamboo/yellow wood limbs with purple heart.

Local Texas maker Russel Anderson, I bought it at Santa Fe Archery.

Must say it is different, you don't hold it right and it'll smack yer hand. Do it right and it is sweeeet!

The older I get, the better I was.

It's my first trad long bow and I'm cornfused on the lengths.

Unstrung its 73" tip to tip.
Strung its 66" nock end to end.

When I hold it right its smooth. Go thinking recurve and she'll bite ya'.
