Archery Hunting Gloves
« on: January 17, 2007, 06:31:00 PM »
3rivers....
Has a Hunting glove called the Windbloc Fleecs Shooting Glove....
Due to cold hands while Beaver Hunting I was thinking of something like these....
One reason of course is the warmth and the second is ya only take a couple of shots, so I was thinking they may be OK....
Anyone have practical experience with them....

Can't help directly with your question Mike, but I use rag wool glo-mits.  You can wear your shooting glove with them, and they give a better feel/grip with your bow hand than the fleece ones.  FWIW.

They look the same as the Alaska Bowhunting Skookum fleece glove, even using the same protective finger stall material, MegaTuff.Much of the description is the same, word for word. Maybe guys who have Skookum gloves can chime in.

Try shooting with a leather work glove with thinsulate insulation cheaper and they work.

ive worn those jersey gloves with shooting glove over that.  another thing is those mittens that have the pull over part to expose your fingers.

Mike G, I have a pair of those gloves from 3Rivers and I like them. They are warm enough for me and comfortable. If you normally shoot a glove like the damascus types there is no real adjustment in getting used to this glove. Also I shoot several different bow weights from 45lbs up to 74lbs and have not noticed any difference in the feel from one bow to the next.
