Tiller on Dalaa Riser
« on: October 17, 2012, 12:01:00 PM »
I shoot 3 under and have a 17" Dalaa Riser with border Hex Limbs. The limbs are longs and make a 62" bow. What should the tiller be set at ?? ( Too start) even or what.

Thanks for your help, Randy

Most bowyers tillering for 3under will use an even tiller.Whats nice about the Dalaa is that i is adjustable you can play around with the tiller.

Even for 3 under is good.

Thanks guys. I need to loosen the bottom limb an extra turn and a half to get even. Is that normal ??

Randy, I think it's fairly common to have to turn one limb bolt farther than the other to get the tiller even. I would set it even tiller and start tuning.

, Instead of loosening the bottom bolt 1.5 turns to achieve even tiller, adjust both bolts equally in opposite directions, bottom 3/4 turn out, top 3/4 turn in to achieve same result.

Thanks, I will start at even and fine tune as needed.

The top limb is only out one turn from being bottomed out. I was told that I should not shoot them tight ( bottomed out) ?? Is this true ??

Yep, the bolts need to be back out at least enough so the limbs will easily slide out when you are taking them off the riser.
