36 count feathers
« on: October 20, 2012, 10:07:00 AM »
I am wanting to order feathers.  Is there a place I can order them in a pack of 36 so I can fletch up a dozen arrows.  Seems all I look at are 100 count.

Have you checked out 3 river's or kustom King? I thought I ordered my last ones from them in a 36 count bag...Big Jim might have some also and all 3 are sponcers here...

I just went and checked out all three Sponcers and they have them in 12 count or 100 count bags and I am guessing most dealers do this cause people can order the Hen and cock feathers in the color they want instead of getting 36 of the same color..You can always just click and order 3 seperate 12 count bags of the same color/profile and get your 36 and I believe that's what I've been doing all this time now I think of it...I'm sure someone out there will do a 36 count bag for you..

We keep lots of feathers in stock and never seem to have enough space for them. Just offereing them in 12 and 100 count consumes a bunch of space.
Give us a call and we will be happy to put 3 bags of 12 into a single bag.

thanks, bigjim

I buy full length by the 100 and generally get 140 or so 4" shields. I am surprised all the suppliers dont sell 36 packs...PR

Of course. . . if just   ONE    feather gets screwed up in the process. . . now you can't finish and you have to order more.

I think most places don't sell 36 packs because many people like a different colored cock feather, so they offer 12 packs or a hundred if you really want to stock up.   I recently found a place that had then at a great price, now for the life of me I can't remember who it was.

I guess I should have clarified better what I was wanting.  I am wanting to order 24 of one color and 12 of another.  But be able to choose the colors I want.

Get in touch with Magnus here. He's a sponsor and can hook you up with pretty much anything you'd need in whatever quantity.  He'll even specially chop or burn them if you want something different besides shield or parabolic.
