What is your BEST method of keeping your feather fletching dry?

Don't hunt in the rain!  :knothead:

I have tried feather powder and sprays and the best i have found is Scotchguard. If they really get wet though, the feathers will still lay down.

Use natural turkey or goose fletching.

I hate those powders that are supposed to keep your fletchings dry. I used them one time a couple years ago. After practicing with my broadhead arrows that day, I put some of the powder on them as it was expected to rain. Come the next morning it did not rain. I did get a shot that morning though and when I released you would have thought a muzzleloader went off because of all the smoke like powder that came off my arrow. I decided right then and there to get a quiver like the Arrowmaster that covers your fletching when hunting in the rain.

Swish the fletched end of the arrow around in some Black Magic tire wet.  Whip the arrow several times to shake off excess and let dry a couple of days.  I had a friend who did this and after a year of shooting that arrow.  He dipped it in a tank of water and swished it around.  He then whipped the arrow a couple of times and the feathers retained their normal shape and there was hardly any moisture in them.  Must be the silicone in the tire wet.

I use a Jack Bowers side quiver with the hood and put 1/2 a bread bag over the fletching. I also use a product called no snow which works well...PR
