Black Widow?
« on: October 30, 2012, 12:21:00 PM »
anybody know anything about this bow? I just bought it on on the bay. The guy said its a black widow...but it looks like a target bow. But, at 53 lbs, i oughta be able to sling arrows at a deer with it. Thoughts?

1972 Wilson Bros. Black Widow HF1225. Great shooting bows, and YES you will be able to hunt just about anything in North America with it.

It weighs a ton, and if you don't put something on the grip, your hands will become blocks of ice in cold weather, but they are fantastic bows.

My son has a 44# T1225 (target model of your bow), and it slings an incredible arrow. Every time I watch him shoot it, I am just amazed at the cast and quickness of that boat anchor. He doesn't need to lift weights, just shoot his bow.

Enjoy it, and if you need exact details about it, send Rabob on here a PM. He is the expert.

Oh yeah...if you guys want to use that link, you need to click on it. When it doesn't come up, you need to go to your address bar and replace the **** with the appropriate auction site letters.
