Since I've been off bowhunting and the wife has a few days off from work....thought I could get her "In the mood"...

So...took some James Valley Doe lure, rubbed it on instead of my usual cologne      Now...I can't get any family members to come within 100 yds of me especially the wife!    :scared:

I will say this...my tear ducts have been running pretty steady and no more sinus problems...

How do you use that deer dander, directly on your clothes or sent pads, drag, other. Would be thankfull for the low down as I'v used it before on myself, but can't remember if it did me any good. I was thinking about using it this year but didn't.

Call Smokey with your questions....he can explain it a lot better than me....he's got the Wensels on his stuff...and Gene is making scent wicks with Smokeys and rope.....they got pics and video.  And, they are suppose to have an article coming out soon about it.

I had a really nice freak buck come into some other bucks scrape just Yesterday morning and check out the pre orbital glad lure I'd put on the licking branch with a stick.

Could not believe the way he entered and exited that I could not get a shot.  Came straight to me, walked under my stand and turned away from me going directly away from be and me stuck behind the tree.  Just not enough room to get away for the tree for a shot.

Anyhow...Smokey knows his stuff...and it VERY knowledgeable and is a trapper....those guys know scents.

I spray it on boots /legs on walk in. Spray around shot locations , and when sitting stay a couple around my location.
I don't buy into the scent hype but this stuff works and has for years for me

Of all the things I've tried, this has worked the best for me. As for commercial deer lures Smokey's is the way to go.

I have not used the doe in need so sorry but no help.  And I'm not sure about the going bad ether. I'm pretty liberal with it and I also use it when coyote hunting so it goes fast.  I like their VK also.

A friend of mine uses whatever is on sale. He uses a drag line and does the figure 8 in front of his stand. He has good luck doing it. Maybe it has a lot to do with scent controll.
