Hey guys, I was playing around with some new arras the other day and found that a stiffer spine made me lower my nocking point considerably. Specifics are below:
1. GT 5575 Nuge shafts. cut to 29", 100gr insert, 125 gr heads, 3 x 4" feathers with wraps had a high nocking point to bare shaft and get good BH flight = 3/8" above center shooting 3 under.
2. GT 7595, full length (32"), 100 gr inserts, 125gr heads, same feather and wrap, nocking point 1/8" above center shooting 3 under.
difference of 1/4" and prolly could have gone maybe 1/32" more for a perfect bare shaft at 20-25yds. Any thoughts on why this is so?
