I aquired a older Hoyt pro medalist a while back, from the looks of it & the way its configured I'm nearly certain its a target shooter.
I was curious if anyone could offer up any info on it ??
Thanks in advance.

What I've learned : Google is my friend &...teh medalist was quite the competitor, was one of the winnigest bow in olympic history & in its day it was a top of the line target bow, not much of a collectors peice, & the model I have sells for around $150-$250 used depending on the buyer.
cool.

PM was the prefix for 1st year production. each year after that was followed by a number...PM,2PM, 3PM,4PM,5PM. One of the best shooting target recurves of all time. I have and have refinished quite a few.

Still have my old Medalist from the sixties. Most of them were from 32 to 40 pounders. Mine is 39#

I have a 62" 5PM Hunter 46@28. I don't know if all the hunter models were 62" or not. Other than the draw weight and the Hunter designation in the name, it looks just like any other pro-medalist, stabilizer bushings and all. It has always been a good shooter (and hunter).

This one is made of (I guess) magnesium, solid white with a black hand grip, need to check the draw weight & what not, also needs string, kind of interest'n now that I know a little more about it.
