Fort Hood, Texas

Hey all I'm getting station in Fort Hood Texas within the next couple months. Anyone hunt around that area. I'm looking foward to getting down there and chasing so pigs around. Also I've searched around for some trad clubs down there with no luck any help would be great. Thanks

Ft. Hood has some excellent hunting on base. Hunted there several times in the past. As active duty military you should have no problem finding hunting opportunities for pigs and deer.Pretty restricted for non-military but worth the effort. Check at the archery range on base for details. Good luck and thanks for your service.  :archer2:

you will real close to the Solana ranch.  lots of hogs and a real nice operation.

Yea I went down and did a recon last week seems it will be good hunting. I would like to find some trad hunters in that area to sling a few arrows with.

Im 15min away in Salado send me a PM when you get in town , I have a dozen 3Ds out back and a few places to chase pigs on......

Dang Sam, I did not know you were in Salado, figured you were further south. Next time I am in the area I will look you up. I come to Texas almost every year to hunt.

Tradgangs own "Bisch" is also in the Solana neighborhood. Guarantee he can put you in touch with some traditional shooters.  :thumbsup:
