Proud of Eagleeye
« on: November 16, 2012, 11:07:00 AM »
Well its been a great season, him killing his first trad deer earlier in the season. And passing on spikes,3pts,4pt,6pt,7pts on many occasoins at the age of 10.I cant tell you how many times he had my heart beating out of my chest waiting for him to shot but as the deer walked by he would look over and just smile and say he just not big enough.Well tommorow is OHIO youth gun season and he said IM BOWHUNTING. I hope i can talk him into shooting the first buck that comes by tommorow  because the sea of orange is comming and after the deer get run for a few weeks it will be hard to get us into range for him.Im proud of you son. This was the best hunting season i have ever had.  :bigsmyl:

I have one more story of him hunting this season. We where in his favorite stand and a big 10pt went around us and i grunted at him a few times. He then aboutfaced and headed straight for us he came into 10 yards looking all over and was moving around and the deer went away. I said why didnt you shot he said he wouldnt hold still and he kept looking at us.Thier is nothing better that sharing those hunts with everyone. Please take your kids hunting it a rush!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you have instilled some great hunting ethics in the young man.

You have every reason to be proud of who he is and who he is becoming.

Congratulations!!

God bless,Mudd

My boy started hunting last year at 8 with the smoke pole and has done very well with no unfilled tags, next year at 10 he is dead set on bowhunting only. I am really looking forward to it! Congrats on your great season Ben.

Thanks everyone.Eagleeye has killed bucks scoring 130 plus he has taken a buck since the age of 6 years old and was featured in North American Whitetail Magazine. He is no stranger to hunting. Jason spend lots of time shooting with him and when he scores its the best feeling in the world.Mudd its great to watch him turn into a man.And his dream hunt is a bear with his bow i'm going to need to get busy on that soon he has been on the honor roll for two years now.I think he deserves the chance to bear hunt.Ferret he has masterd Ribs, for Christmas he will be making Brisket.

Kudus to you my friend.I always thought the greatest feeling in the world is when I shot some huge deer with my bow.Nothing compares spending time with your son or daughter and watching them develop into true hunters and great people.Priceless!
Quote from Howard Hill.( Whenever he taught someone to shoot) "Son make up your mind right now if you want to target shoot or hunt as theres a world of differance between the two"
