I know eye contact is a definite no-no. If they have not noticed you before then,they will immediately know you are not a part of the tree or brush. I think we move way more than we think. A slight adjustment of the bow, a movement of the feet or body to get ready for the shot. On one of them the deer notices something, and just moves off.
