Props to Ron Foley
« on: November 18, 2012, 11:03:00 AM »
Hi All,

I really enjoy the pics shared of custom bows.  I am amazed at the craftsmanship and talent level in our sport.

Ron Foley built me this hybrid longbow and I wanted to share it with you all.  Ron listened to me and delivered exactly what I asked for.  I love the way it shoots and Ron is a real joy to work with.

40# @ 28", 66" long; Riser is Macassar with Bocote Wave;  Limbs are Bamboo core with Bocote veneers; Horn nock tips

Nice bow! My son has one of Ron's longbows and it's one of the prettiest bows I've seen. He wants to sell it and if I had the money I'd buy it from him!

Beautiful bow.  I've had one of Ron's recurves for 3 years now. It's a great shooter and it performs right up there with the other "big name" bow.  I met Ron last summer at Denton Hill.  What a nice man.  I'm getting the itch to have him make me a longbow sometime soon. Seeing this bow may push me over the edge   :)

God bless, Steve

I have a 64" td longbow. I truly love this bow.I have owned many different longbows in the past, and this one tops them all. In fact it tops all of my recurves in performance. I have two sets of limbs and on set has the carbon core. This set of limbs are super. I'm sold on the Foley longbow.
