KOM Bibs?
« on: November 21, 2012, 09:08:00 AM »
Last year my friend sold me his KOM Bowman jacket. He now would like to sell me the Hillbilly bibs. I would like some opinions on these. By the way the Bowman jacket is awesome! Thanks.

I have owned EVERY article KOM ever made.
A friend was a dealer.
It is GREAT wool, but SOOOOOO overpriced. Getting it second hand is the way to go. If you get it at a fair price, you'll love 'em.
If you were buying new, I'd recommend other options.

At those prices you have absolutly nothing to loose and some money to be made if you wanted! Your buddy is pretty much giving them to you.

I'd drop $50 on the bibs in a heartbeat. Wool is usually outrageous. The rub is that it works so good, so you end up justifying it. It's kinda like deciding to by the computer with the fruit on it, so you don't have so many complaints about it.

I had a pair and can tell you they are super warm.
The only drawback I found is when walking long distances to my stand, the straps rubbed on my nipples and I was sore as heck. Just not used to them I guess, and traded them for some Bunwarmers.

Most the time I wear thin Merino wool blend LS top and drawers under my KOM.

$50? Wow!

I have a pair of Filson bibs.....in 15 years it has rarely been cold enough to wear them  :)

I hunt where it is cold (Northern Canada) and wouldn't even consider going out without my KOM bibs, bowman jacket, gauntlet mittens and mukluks! I fully recommend KOM gear.

Got the bibs today and they are awesome! I hope it's cold enough Saturday so I can wear them.
