Last night while messing with my bow I accidently cut two strands of my bowstring. No problem, I have a spare already broke in. But as I was throwing away the old string I was trying to think of uses for that old string. Anyone got ideas for recycling old string? or any other archery related item for that matter.

Use it for sewing handles, wrapping feathers or arrowheads, etc...

Yup. You have a mess of very strong string there. Use it to sew up a quiver or a knife sheath, make a lanyard for your minimag flashlight, Carry it along for repairing a loose fletch in the field or tying a branch out of the way of a flight path wherever you may decide to sit in the woods. The color will bleed out of B-50, I found that out when I used it for a neck string on my last medicine bag.

I use a 4" piece of old dacron bowstring for the fob on my pocket watch.

I save mine and use strands for for tying nock points, tying on silencers, and friend's peeps, kissers, etc.

Use it to tie tags on to your game!
