Chippewa Wedgeloc Treestands
« on: December 05, 2012, 12:10:00 PM »
I think I saw on a post awhile back that the makers of the Wedgeloc stands were closing down at the end of this year. I did a search and can't seem to find the post. That said, I've called the phone number and left 2 messages with no response.
Does anyone out there know what's going on?

They are going out of business, I e-mailed them a week ago.  They do have some Ghost and Super Hex stands left to sell and some accessories, but that's it.

I spoke with Rebecca Smith back in Sept. They are going out of business, I hope someone picks up the company and carries on, they are the best stand design on the market.
I bought the last two Chief models they had, I've had the Quest model and a set of there climbing sticks for years.

Just talked to Rebecca a few minutes ago. They have approximately 20 super -hex stands and couple of ghosts and that's it. Sure hope someone steps up and carries on the line. I agree with RLA they are the best design on the market.

Juat called them.  They answered and I spoke to Mr. Smith.

He said that they are no longer stocking the strap on rigging harnesses, they do have chain on harnesses, and they have a bunch of the rubber bumpers (these do wear out. .  thnk about that).  I ordered my supply for the shelf.

I too hope someone buys the business and keeps it going.  I have used a Quest model for many years now and eventually I may need another.

Thats too bad, great tree stands  ... and made in USA

I have had the Chief for several years now and it is sooo easy to hang and rock solid. i also have the climbing sticks but have not used them too much, they to are easy to use. I have used them around the yard to trim my bigger trees.

They called me back after I left a message. My bumbers wore out this season. I bought six of them just in case. I figure i'm going to try to make my own straps with Shauns directions he posted on here awhile back.
