Hi all,
Long time reader first time poster!
I have just almost finished my second bow.
A small osage, this was a left over piece from a log I split. After looking at it awhile I thought it may could make bow. It became my test bed for bending recurves, that were later cut out. I also tested heat treating the belly..and some other heat straighting tactics that a beginner might face.
It is about 1" wide at it's widest point/ handle area.
Anyways here it is:
Whippersnapper
52" nock to nock
30# at 26"
no set
6 1/4" brace
the handle or self was done using a method posted here! Thanks, Dave Bulla!
Super glue leather handle Thanks for looking!
I have this one big brothers I gave one away, so I only have 2 left. They are twice as wide as this one was.
