Hey guys, do any of you keep your longbow strung with quiver and wood arrows for the hunting season. Thanks

No I unstring my longbow. It only takes a second to string it so it's not a big deal. Also here in Michigan a bow either has to be cased or unstrung, so unstringing it makes it so I don't have to worry about having a case.
I leave some of my recurves strung, but I read that since a longbow generally has a thicker stack than a recurve it puts more stress on the limbs being strung over a long period of time. Maybe that's not true, but I know I've heard it before.

I leave my Longbow strung all the time I shoot almost every day.

Strung always. I think the only time I do unstring it is to change the string.

Only time mine get unstrung is if they're going off duty for extended period like weeks or months, going to be sitting in hot car for more than a few minutes or for string maintenance! Same for my recurves!

I unstring mine after every session.  To my thinking, unstringing removes unnecessary tension in the bow, and string.  Any time I can remove the tension when I'm not shooting, I do.  In the event of an accident of some sort, I feel like it minimizes the risk of any damage to the bow, or injury to a person.

My Hill bow rests when I rest.  Unstring it all the time.  That is part of the the beauty and simplicity of the longbow.

I'm with Rough and 2for.  Unstring my bow when I'm not using it.  It's really not terribly difficult or dangerous to string and unstring a longbow.

Never unstring my ACS or any other glass or carbon, now a wood selfbow is another story.

On my days off from work the bow stays strung so whenever I get the urge to fling some arrows I can just grab and go. Otherwise the bow(s) are unstrung during the rest of the week. Just sensible .

I've always unbraced a bow after use, no matter if it is a self bow, all wood lam or glass bow. Right or wrong, just something I've always done.

Me too, Pat...

A braced bow and sharp objects all around is a disaster waiting to happen.

I leave the one I'm using strung, unless I'm traveling.  Any bow I'm not using a keep unstrung as they are stored easier.

A braced bow in a hot car or in direct sunlight can be a disaster too.

I always unstring my longbow when I finish shooting.
