Badlands tree stand pack? Yes another pack thread.

I am looking for a new pack for deer hunting.  The one I have is just a little too small.  It has a 1500 square inch main compartment and one decent sized outside pocket,that's it.  I don't need something with a ton of compartments, but I need a little more room for extra clothes. I would like a larger main compartment with another compartment or two on the inside, and a couple outside compartments.  It seems a lot of packs I look at have pockets and straps everywhere.

The pack will be used for deer hunting,mainly still hunting.  Not for long pack in trips or hauling meat.   I have read a lot of threads about packs but its hard to tell unless you get yer hands on em.   I have looked at the field and stream Blackfoot XL And it was decent.    However there is nobody very close that sells badlands or eberlestock.   I see badlands has a new tree stand pack but I wonder if it will be big enough.  I like to walk out dressed light and then layer up.  I will also be carrying all the essentials,binos,calls, flashlight,snacks,drink, the basics.  I appreciate any help, especially if you have the tree stand pack.

I have one of their smaller packs with the same adjustable Futura frame and it is far and away the most comfortable pack I've ever worn. It's tough, reliable, and you can lash just about anything to it.

I highly recommend Mystery Ranch - they are way, way better than anything I've picked up and looked at in Cabelas or Bass Pro.

My wife got me a badlands blackjack fanny for christmas and it seems just right. I mainly needed something to make carrying in my safety harness easier and its filled the bill nicely. It has two sets of staps for securing extra clothes plus some pockets for snacks,camera,ect. I think the blackjack is very similar to the tree huger but is the ultra light version.

I picked up a Badlands Diablo pack suggested by guys on here, I am really happy with it. It still has lots of compartments though but a fairly big main one and straps to tie some larger items on the bottom

My Badlands Diablo is 1900 ci and is organized fairly well.  One main pouch and two smaller pouch of decreasing size.  Plus a bottom pouch for extra stuff.  Daily walk in and out hunt it is too big,(for me) but for weekend trips it is just right.  Room to strap on hammock, sleeping bag and pad.

I have and use the heck out of a Badlands Reactor pack.  Love it and can get more in it than I need for a days hunt.  What I can not fit inside I strap on to the bottom or outside of the pack.

I don't hunt tree stands much so I carry a three legged stool on the bottom of my BL packs and it works great.  Their customer service is great too!  My pack is second hand and a zipper broke so I sent it back and had it returned in less than 3 weeks with a new zipper a note saying to let them know if I needed anything else repaired in the future.

I enjoy my spot n' stalk quiver pack.  I like the single messenger bag style thick strap, it unclips in the middle and there's a nice selection of pockets and compartments.

A $10 pack from Wal-Mart has worked fine for me, for years.Its small enough that im not overloaded with pack during warm weather, as it flattens out when bungee'd to my tree stand, yet holds a vest, and heavy shirt or two in addition to all my other gear. If its really cold I bungee jacket/bibs to the tree stand. I am all about K I S S (Keep It Simple Stupid),my pack includes: wallet,headlamp,tiny 1 cell light,GPS,grunt call,monocular,pocket camera,facemask,gloves,hat,bottle of water,snack,butt wipes,thermacell (if needed),2 kitchen garbage bags,25 feet paracord,safety harness.
 I wear few clothes going in, and add layers after in stand as I cool  off.My paracord pulls my bow,pack,and clothes up after I am stable in my stand, and secures pack at shoulder height by wrapping around trunk. That way anything I need to access is in easy reach, yet out of the way.No need to spend hundreds on a pack, thats nothing more than a bag. I did bone out a mature whitetail last year and carried out in this little pack. I simply returned to truck with stand, than emptied my pack of everything but saw,paracord,knife and the 2 garbage bags. Strung deer up, skinned,boned out meat into bags and into pack. The tree saw took the rack off. It was a load for that little pack, but you leave the bones,hide,hooves behind, so it gets more than you think. Happy hunting!

I use the Reactor for my day hunts and short hunts and times when I do not need to carry my video camera and alot of extra gear, but longer hunts and all day sits or cold weather I love my Superday pack as it holds everything I need plus some without being "too" big and can double to strap on some meat, etc. as needed.

I have the badlands 2200.  I can pack in my treestand and all my gear on this stand.  It also has a place to hold your bow or gun.  It contains as well a meat roll to pack out your harvest.

I highly recommend, but it doesn't come cheaply.  You can find them used from time to time and honestly worth the money.

Also, badlands has a 'no questions asked' policy on their warranty and its lifetime as well.

Badlands are good packs and I have the roll top fanny. However, I use the Game Plan Leech pack for treestand hunting. I am not sure why you want the treestand pack if you are primarily using it for still hunting? I looked at that pack and think you would do better with a pack specialized one way or the other (treestand or still hunting). It has been my experience that products trying to perform multiple roles typically perform each role about half as good as a specialized product would.

I use the badlands 2800. Sounds big, but I take along my ASAT  leafy suit and  my large sized Huntmore chair, along with water, food, extra layers of clothes, pruning clippers,etc, everything I need to stay out all day. The pack is very user friendly and allows me to attach the chair components to it without having to stuff them inside the pack. Best pack for ground hunting, IMO.
