Where to get a child's longbow
« on: December 23, 2012, 10:09:00 PM »
Hey all, I have a 5 year old son and he has a 48" recurve. He told me the other day that he wants a longbow, where can I get one that would fit him good and is 15-20#? Thanks

Mad dog pup.  He is a sponsor on here I think.  The bows really spit out the arrows with authority.

x2 for 7 Lakes. Mike is a true craftsman. He's having a pretty good Christmas sale and I think he has what you need in stock.

Mountain Lion,

What kind of recurve? I have a really nice Northern Mist youth longbow that's 48" and 18lbs@20" and my kids like recurves "like daddy shoots".

PM me.

Another vote for Black Rhino, but really, they're all good.

Both my kids have shot Maddog pups since they were old enough to hold a bow.  They are high-quality, really shoot well, look exactly like a miniature of dad's bows, and the price was very good.  The neighbor kids were drooling over them last summer while we were out shooting in the yard, and after inviting them over to shoot with us, several of them took up archery at their next birthdays, if you know what I mean!

I ordered a 48" pup longbow last spring, and chose my color AND veneers, and could not believe the price, shipped.  My daughter now has a very exotic-looking longbow, and I didn't have to sink a pile of money into it.  I'm not a personal friend of Mike's, but he has been an excellent person to deal with, and I'm glad to send him my business.
