The arrow finally did what I asked it to do

Well...i had killed my first 2 deer i released an arrow atwith a longbow. The 2nd was earlier this fall with a longbow i made. Rewarding but you never saw the shot placement. Both shots were substantially back and had the fortune of hitting major arteries. Since those 2 i have missed 3you times. My shooting is getting better and better but it has been hard at the moment of truth. How do you shoot instinctively by feel when you are so excited and don't feel anything. I've been frustrated and have had impure thoughts of going backto to the shooting tackle i use to use.
Well...frustration is gone and loving the longbow. Had 6the does coming by at 20yards. I was on the ground in my ghillie suit. The lead doe got spooky and came back closer to me. I took her slightly quartering towards at 10 yards. I drew and watched the arrow hit the spot i was looking at. I spent the next 5 minutes replaying the events in my mind with a big smile on my face.

Excellent. Glad for your success. Love the handle on your bow, by the way. A smaller longbow handle just feels so right.
