62" or 64" Black Widow PMAX @31"
« on: January 10, 2013, 11:56:00 AM »
Well I am ordering a Black Widow after trying about seven bows over the last two months and have fallen in love with the long PMA.  I am just up in the air on whether or not to shoot the 62" or 64" PMA.  Am I gaining or losing anything with either of those lengths?  Looking for some information from the PMA long pullers.

Probably can use either length(I am not experienced with any Black Widow bows but my guess is either would work).
64" might be smoother at your draw length.

I have had both and my draw length is 32.5".  I think either would work.  The 64" for me is smoother and quieter.

I would go for the 64".2" makes a huge difference for me in smoothness, especially when the poundage goes up.What do the folks a BW say?

Toby said either would work...just what I prefer.  Smooth or a little more manuverablity.  I shot the 62" PMA and a 62" PSA and really fell in love with the PMA riser and sight window, so I put in an order on one but might just be second guessing at this point.  I will stay with the 64".

i'd go with the 64".  you  won't notice that extra inch on both ends. i would take the string angle into consideration as well.

I own 2 62" Widows and a 64" with 2 sets of limbs. I draw 30" and all will work but I like the smoothness of the 64" better.

I don't notice any difference carrying either length through the woods.

x2

I draw 31", and wouldn't personally go shorter than 64" with a PMA, and I've spent time shooting them in 60" and 62", to compare the feel.  The reduction in "smoothness" isn't worth an inch on either end, for me.

I shoot the low grip,I have always had the reg grip in the past.I took a chance with the low grip on my latest PCH and it is now my favorite BW grip.

I would go with the 64" on the PMA with that kinda draw length.

I love my 64" pma with low wrist grip.  I have a 30" draw.  The bow is a tack driver.

I shoot a 62" PSA at 31, if i was to go to a PMA i would go with a 64" to keep the same amount of working limb but that is just me.

I have shot all of those with just over a 30" draw.  The 64" MA will be smoother- HOWEVER I wonder if you tried an SA?  62" in SA would shoot the same as a 64" in the MA.

I did shoot the SA but found the MA to be more comfortable and more appealing...what can I say I like my girls tall and lean.
