water container help please.

I am looking for some type of container that will attach to a fanny pack or belt loop or just my belt that is easy to carry and easy to remove. It is for when I am stump shooting or walking.If you do have suggestion please let me know where to get it as well

Can get the one quart canteens( that you can run your belt through a loop at the top ) at any Army/Navy Surplus store.  I like a bota bag.  It collapses as you drink the water and doesn't slosh around and make a lot of noise.  Can find those at most camping stores like REI, etc.

I carry a 1 qt. plastic army canteen like Orion said.  I also drink as much water as I can first.  The canteen is really more for sipping (dry mouth).  Be sure to tank up first and stay ahead of the curve on hydration.

Go to any sporting good store and you can find a vast selection of water containment items, and military surplus is great also.

A little more elaborate set up, but Maxpedition and Condor make a holder that perfectly fits the Nalgene water bottles.  The holder is very sturdy and has a small pouch for storage.  Wife and I use these all summer at 3D shoots.

2x on the bota bag, works very well. It doesn't attach to your belt but you can hang it over your shoulder and it stays comfortably under your arm and out of the way. I use mine for hunting or shooting.

I am a believer in tanking up ( drink a lot the hours before) heading away from the rig.  Then I load my pack with the small bottles of water from the store. Or refill the bottles for the next trip out.   When you need to kick back for a while down a bottle with a piece of jerky.  Crush the bottle in a cloth wrap and carry it out.

the other option bota bag mentioned above is super and quiet.

I like those Platypus bags. You can squeeze the air out of them as you drink to keep the water sloshing sound down.

Go to the Stanley Thermos website, click on utility, then click on hydration. They have a  32oz stainless water bottle, that if need be you can boil water right in the bottle to make it safe for drinking or add some Raman noodles and you are eating lunch out of it. You might get lost out there stumping and need to boil water for survival. I know it,s a stretch but I have a big imagination.
