Toelke turn around...
« on: January 15, 2013, 12:02:00 AM »
I don't know how they do it, but the Toelkes always amaze me with their turn around times.  My chinook had a rough season last year, hunting 3 states including a week long backpack hunt in the Bob Marshall in Montana.  She was starting to look a lot older then her 9 months and I had been considering a refinish when I had a nock go on me a couple of weeks back.  Sent Dan an email asking if it was ok for me to send it in.  Got a response in less than an hour!  Dropped it in the mail with full details.  The day the bow arrived received email asking for me to call where Dan calmed my fears and advised the bow was just fine.  A week from the bow hitting their doorstep it was back on mine looking at least as good if not better then new!  I don't know how they do it, but I hope they keep it up.  A lot of black magic going on out there, but I love it!

Life long Toelke fan here! I have one of his earliest bows. Went for shooting lessons (listen to everything he teaches you) and ended up ordering a take down recurve after two days. No sales pitch from Dan. I just shot one and it was love from the 1st arrow launched. His turn around times have been unbelievable from the start. Now that Jared is in the shop and following in Dan's foot steps I doubt there will be worries about extended delivery times for a long time to come. I graduated to his Whip several years ago and have never looked back. OUTSTANDING

Good stuff, the last whip I ordered from Dan was done and shipped in 6 days.  Dan has always helped me out with my shooting form also.  I personally can't say enough good things about the Toelkes.

Dan has made me a number of bows over the last few years, the longest wait time I have  experienced from date of order to delivery has been 29 days. Besides crafting beautiful, efficient bows in such a timely fashion, Dan and Jared are a pleasure to deal with, there are never problems. On top of this, as some have already noted Dan knows morw about all things Archery and particularly shooting form and technique than anyone I have ever known.

Jim Wright turned me on to Dan's bows and I am so glad he did.

I had just began down the traditional trail and had been through a few bows and was never completely satisfied...buying, trying and eventually selling.

After listening to Jim, I decided to give Dan a call and see what he had to say.  long story short, Dan had my first bow within 3 weeks and it was EXACTLY what I expected.

A few months later; same thing (3 weeks).  Another bow exactly what I had in mind by just talking to Dan and letting him know what I wanted a bow to do...the man can read your mind.

Not only is the production time unbelievable, but the bows are a work of art, fast and quiet.  Did I mention quiet?

In fact my Lynx is WHISPER quiet even when shooting 3 under...I am still amazed.

Also as someone mentioned, Dan is a wealth of knowledge on shooting and form.  If you don't believe me, then give him a call and see what you think...the man will keep you on the phone and talk about your issue until he is convinced you understand how to fix your issue.

As you can see, I and others think and know what a great bowyer and resource Dan Toelke is to the archery community.

I ordered my first Whip Classic via PayPal deposit on December 31, 2012.  Longbow was delivered January 14, 2013.  Besides excellent customer service, bow craftsmanship was outstanding as well as shooting performance. Never had a bowyer deliver a custom made bow in such a short time.  Quite an operation.

Dan is a class act all the way and Jared is a chip off the old block. Every bow they have ever made for me came in ahead of schedule and perfect.
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

The craftsmanship is like a piece of fine furniture.  The only other bow I've had that was as close to being as whisper quiet right out of the box was a tall tines longbow.
