Another beauty from Black Creek Bows
« on: January 26, 2013, 09:38:00 AM »
Received this siren from Jim Gainey yesterday. Great workmanship. Quiet and smooth. Can't wait to get it in the woods next fall. Cocobolo and gray actionwood riser, dirty bamboo cores, black glass limbs. Grip works great for my high wrist style. Just a really solid hunting bow.

Thanks guys. I always liked this combo as well. One thing you can't tell very well from the photo is the matte finish that Jim puts on his bows. Not sure what he sprays with but I like it much better than the glossy finishes. I also like the fact that while this is a longbow there is a little more meat in the riser. Here's another shot.

Not sure why photobucket images get randomly rotated, but you get the picture.

He does build a great bow, doesn't he. I just sold my little right-hand Banshee. Only 41 #, but sure was quick and yes, that finish Jim puts on really kills the glare while still letting the colors through.

Nice bow!
