How to measure velcro?
« on: January 27, 2013, 04:03:00 PM »
I've been playing with Stew Millers new program and when I come to strike plate thickness, I'm stumped on how to measure the thicknesss of velcro( my strike plate and rest.) I have a micromiter , do I crush the velcro flat or just close the jaws till it barely touches?

Enter the value as 0.063, and you'll be right on.

Whats the width of velcro a 1/16th of an inch. run like that and then run it 1/32 of an inch. cant see how there would be a huge difference in the outcome.JMO then again I could be wrong, but running both numbers and seeing the difference would tell.
