What inserts for CX 90's

I am just wondering what inserts I could use for some CX 90 shafts. I would like to get some 50g brass inserts. These shafts are 9/32 so will the easton hitt inserts fit?

All you have is the standard insert for them,no brass inserts made for them.What I did on my Heritage 90's is to take a standard 5/16" 50 grain insert.I then mounted a point in my drill and spun on the 50 gr. insert.I spun it and filed it down to fit in the 90.I also tapered from the front end down to become more flush with the shaft.They came out to about 42 grs.,but with a 175 gr. point they came out to around a 540 gr. arrow with a .530 spine.I'm not sure the new Easton HIT inserts will work,but maybe? The new Eastons take a H-nock which did not fit in my Heritage 90,so maybe not?

If you have or have access to a drill press, you can chuck up a field point, screw on a 50gr brass insert,  turn the press on, and draw file down to fit inside the shaft. Not hard to do,  just take your time and check the fit often. Best I recall, you are real close when you get down to the bottom of the grooves machined into the insert. And, best I recall, 50gr inserts come out in the low 40s and 100 gr inserts turn down to about 84gr (+/-).
Once I got on a roll, it took me about five minutes to complete one...with a portion of time spent weighing it on my reloading scales.

Another idea, would be to get the screw in brass weights and the tool.

You can remove the nock, and screw in the brass weight, or if you are sure on the 50 grains, install into the insert, prior to glueing it in the shaft, maybe put a dab of fletchtite on the threads of the Brass.  I've had them loosen up over time.

There was a great tutorial on here using threaded rod in the back of the standard insert. I substituted brass as it is a hair heavier and easier to cut. I get no vibration and work up whatever weight I want. I put a drop of glue on the threads when I screw it in the insert, but I think from now on I will use a drop of thread locker. I made some 75gr inserts for a longbow not center cut and 175gr field points to get my 250gr up front.

The nice thing about the CE inserts is they are threaded all the way through.

Why doesn't someone make a brass insert for.them? I love their shafts I wonder if a beeman brass would be close?

all I shoot are cx 90's and also use the drill
press method. I use the 50 and the 100 brass inserts depending on my setup. follow jry's
instructions and it will work great. I keep a short piece of shaft that I run up through the
hole that the drill bit normally goes down through
to keep track of the fit so as not to take off too
much.

The PDP brand steel weights will fit inside cx90 shafts, all except the fat ones, and they work fairly well too. Just another option.
