Black widow Plx question
« on: January 28, 2013, 09:25:00 PM »
I was wondering if there is a performance difference between the one and two piece, meaning noise, hand shock, and any noticeable physical weight, or any comments you may have about the bow. Thanks, Wes

You might want to contact the boys a Black Widow with this question.
They are a very friendly bunch and would be the best source of info for your question.

The td might be a tiny bit heavyer mass weight but I really can't tell the difference when shooting them. No difference in performance. Might add the PL longbow is a really nice shooting bow.  Denny Sturgis Sr

Yep, ask them.  I will say that I've owned quite afew of their models, & I really havent noticed a difference, but then again, I'm not as picky as some.  I've had no complaints about noise, of vibration .

I have a PLX T/D,I do feel like it has alittle more mass weight then a one-piece PLV I had before. If you like more mass weight,it's not a big deal for me.It is one of my favorite longbows, shoots great and quiet and excellent performance in my opinion. There is no noise with the Locket-socket system, looks just like the one-piece until you take it apart.A well built and solid bow.

I have shot a bunch of them and can't tell the difference. I have never tried to judge the weight, but didn't notice it when just picking them up and shooting.

I have had both and can't tell a difference. I'm sure there is an oz or two weight though.
I would like to try a toby grip sometime. Always hear good things about it.

Ther were a lot of great shooting bows there. I definitely didn't shoot them all but out of all the ones I shot the Plx just seamed to be the most effortless to shoot tight groups without having work at it.

I have shot both the one piece and the T/D and can't tell the difference in shooting them as they both are outstanding in their performance.

My PLX is the T/D but I ordered it in the older LAG grip and love love love it as it made my switch from a recurve all that easier.

Great bows, bulletproof to boot. The weight is not noticeable to me

I haven't noticed a difference, either.  Great bows.

I shot a 1pc a couple years ago and for hand shock very little, more like a vib.

I have arthritis in my hands and joints and the bow was great to shoot. I could shoot it all day and not bother my joints.
