New Barta Bow from 3Rivers.
« on: January 31, 2013, 12:29:00 AM »
Has anyone gotten a look at or got to shot the new Tred Barta 64" Celebration Longbow.  http://www.3riversarchery.com/tred+barta+64%26quot%3b+celebration+longbow_i8330X_baseitem.html
It looks like it's got great lines and a good d/r profile to it Should be a great shooting bow. The wood choices along with the caramel colored glass have a simplistic yet stunningly beautiful look to it.

What I saw on the link says "Futurewood" and brown glass. Just my opinion, but for $700 a person could order a very nice custom from one of our sponsors and be way ahead in the looks department.

I was looking at it last night. If I was going to get a bow from 3Rivers it would be the Tomahawk Legacy one piece. I think they look much better.

I have to agree, Looks pretty plain jane and more of a production bow that is overpriced! Until I shoot one this is just my opinion of course! Lots of better looking bows that I know shoot awesome for less out there!

To each his own, but numerous bowyer sponsors here can build a bow to your specs and wood preferences for less money.

The Tomahawk Legacy is a 3 piece takedown bow. They only make the original and diamond series Tomahawks in one pieces.

I saw it on the website and was curious about it too - I think it's a great looking bow.  Something about a more simple and functional look appeals to me.  I bet it's a shooter.

I agree that the bow has a nice attractively simple look to it, although I believe a price below $500 would be more appropriate.

Nice looking bow. Does anyone know who is building this bow for 3Rivers?  Is it Martin Archery?

What a joke. You guys gotta stop spending your hard earned money on mass produced "marketing gimmicks."  Have you seen the price on those special arrows that are being sold for $400??? Give me a break.

There are fine bowyers/sponsors right here on this site that will build you a bow with the woods you want, poundage you want at your draw for the same or less money than that production bow. My 2 cents...

from what I've seen is your paying alot for Treds name. Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching the guy and I have alot of respect for the way he never even slowed down when he became wheelchair bound but I still think they are capitalizing on his name.

I agree costs too much. I am however also a fan of Tred and his determination.
