I tried some test shafts - Gold Tip, Carbon Express Heritage, grisslystix, and Axis - I draw 54#@30". The shafts that flew best for me were the carbon express but as others often say different things work for different people.

The Carbon Express 250's are awesome. You can shoot them into rocks at 20 yds and more often than not they will be fine.

Gold Tip traditionals work great for me and my friends but I'm sure any of them will serve you well.

I really like the Beman MFX Classics, they are shooting very well for me and have more weight then other shaft materials, plus the spine and weight is very consistent and I like the smaller diameter and thicker wall as well. Mark

I've shot (and have) about all of them and don't really dislike any. Sometimes the arrow weight I'm after dictates which one I use with a particular bow. Today, I'm favoring the Beman MFX Classics and Heritage 150's.

Carbon Express Heritage all the way! I've never broken one, except for a couple of robin hoods.

I liked the beeman classics but I dont see that they make them anymore. Seems that the MFX took over.

Just picked up a couple of Carbon Express Terminator hunters 6075. They shoot pretty nice and take a beating. I might try them for hunting. It sure would be a good squirrel arrow considering the durability.

Have had good results from Carbon Express & Gold Tip, including "Heritage", "Traditional" and several other types. Seems like CX's are a little more consistant and are a little heavier, but both types are tough, tough, tough.
