Posting Photos Alternative?
« on: February 08, 2013, 09:13:00 PM »
Is there an alternative site to Photobucket to post pictures.

They have installed a new version that is terrible. You can't resize photos and it performs terribly.

I am out of there and am looking for a different site to be able to post pictures.

Thanks
Gil

i use image linky.com.
it doesnt actually host pictures- which i prefer as i dont like the fact that someone else now owns my pics.
you resize the pics on your 'puter. i use paint- it is the easiest.
then i open imagelinky in another window/tab, do the upload, copy the "forum link" over to my post and paste- voila!!! that easy

pm me if you need any help with it- i prefer it

IMGUR is very easy. If a dummy like me can do it you know it has to be simple.

Like y'all the new photobucket cornfuzed the heck out of me.  Tried Imgur but wasn't happy with that either as it's very slow to upload and edit.  Went back to PB to see what I could do as I didn't want to re-upload all my pics to a new host.

Once your pics are uploaded in the new PB, select Edit at the top.....your gallery opens.  One of the options is resize.  Click the pic in mind and then enter the dimensions, then apply, then replace/save.  This is the same thing you have to do in Imgur, but it takes far less time.  Just my .02.

Test of a resize to 360 wide from the new PB:

"i use image linky.com."

I use this as well but after two photos it won't let me do any more...I don't get it.

Hunt 101

I have used Hunt 101 for years.  Easy to use.  Can upload up to 10 photos at  once.  Gives three choices for size.  The medium size is within the admins limits.  You have to ignore the "sportsmans" dating site ads, but other than that I have found it to be very easy!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
