SHOULDER
« on: February 12, 2013, 04:28:00 PM »
As some of you know I had a bad  fall on 1/1/13. I hit a section of black ice out by the barn. did complete flip and landed on my left ghoulder.Had an xray and some PY it seenrd to be getting better until KZOO.Had very paniful tearing, ripping sensation to my left shoulder.                                             JOHN offered me chair.(didn't want to miss a sale) ha ha. A great guy. I did stay until Sat. am. Long story short I had to have surgery on my left shoulder to repair rotar cuff and reattach my bicep. A long recuver and much PT.  I really miss the shooting with the OHIO DUMB BUNCH

I had the bicep reattachment and it's gone great.  Can't imagine the rotator cuff tear with it or are you talking about having a slap tear of the bicep tendon fixed.

Listen to the doc and physical terrorist.  Don't try to push it if they say otherwise.

Good luck and be careful.

Been there just a couple months ago and it's going great - the same will be true for you. Do your PT and home exercises and before you know it you'll be back in the swing of things!

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!

You are a mess Mike!  It's not good to get old.  But it's the best choice you have.
Stick to the doctors orders and you'll be back at it in good time.  I'll miss you in AL though!

Hey, Mike, need a good warm wool shirt to keep that shoulder warm while it heals?  I might know where one is.

Ditto on doctors orders....I had rotator cuff done in June of last year and by Sept it was good enough to go on an archery elk hunt..

Now it feels better than it has in 25 years....

If I could get all this other crap fixed...
