I'm going to try for March Madness too. I've done it once before and it was a hoot!

I'm on Manitoulin Island myself.

Hello from Calgary Alberta , we have quite a large following of traditional archers here and throughout Alberta north south east and west. There are some great hunting opportunities here, but the hardest most times is just getting permission to hunt on some of these properties. There are many shoots throughout the year so you get to shoot under many conditions as you would get in many hunting situations, you get an opportunity to shoot with and meet some awesome people here from all over, and not just from Alberta. The 2 biggest shoots that we have for me are the NALS= North American Longbow Safari that rotates between a location one year here in Canada and following year in the United States, the other big shoot is the Heritage Classic Jamboree that is put on through the ATBA= Alberta Traditional Bowhunters Association, which is open to both longbows and recurve shooter, the NALS is longbow only and broadheads only other than flu flu arrows for the aerial targets which have field points.
These are the biggest traditional archery shoots but there are many more that take place giving archers a chance to shoot, meet, meet some of the great traditional bowyers that also come and setup at these shoots, as well as some of the traditional suppliers of archery related gear from shafting , feathers, points, arm guards etc, and make some great friends because over time these shoots are like big family get togethers because over time we do become a very close and closer knit family. So come on out, loose some arrows and become part of the family brotherhood extended family, if you are a loner and just want to shoot then that will be respected as well, but just come on out and shoot and have fun.

Buckhorn if I gave you a number I would be making it up, but I can tell you that there are many , sorry for not being able to give you something more accurate but the people in charge could certainly give you an accurate count to date.

Hey all, Collin over in Peterborough.  Glad to finally find my way to the forum, and catch up with other Canadians!   :)   Must say, picked a great spot to move to, for ranges and Trad stuff, being more recent to it all!

Member of the West Kootenay Archer's As. which is made up of mainly compound shooters with a few of us trad boys thrown in just to keep them honest. Also a member of the Traditional Bowhunters of B.C. which is all trad and I hail from Genelle here in the Kootenays of B.C. I shoot Bear takedown recurves and cari-bow longbows. Howdy all!

From Green Hill, Pictou Co. in Northern Nova Scotia.
I don't get out much, bit of a hermit, but there are a pretty good bunch of trad guys spread around the province. This place is easier for me to stay connected.
