Have any of you shrew guys ever had a problem with knock high.I have tried everything,600 spine 500 spine knock up and down string tooth pick under rest and still knock high. Thanks, Jim

My shrew classic hunter 56"-51# @28 shot sitka spruce 60/65# arrows with 145-160 pts nicely. Don't remember any problem tuning with them.

Constant nock high can be a function of the nock to loose on the string.

Try a bottom nock point also.  Maybe your arrow is sliding down and bouncing off the shelf with the low nock set location and with higher locations you are just too high.

Mine is a tack driver,no issues at all. I would suggest a bit more fine tuning with the nock point. You shoot 3 under or split?

I'll second the nock fit, or too much finger pressure on the nock(if you shoot split).  How are you testing your nock height?

Thanks guys,I shoot split finger and Im testing them threw paper.I'm thinking now it might be loose knocks on the string,I will mess with that after work.   Thank You

two nocking points with your arrow between them, ALWAYS.

I too would suggest that you put on two (tied on) nocks if you don't have them already.  I just take off an arrow nock and stick it on the string at the right spot, then tie on the top knocking point.  Shoot the bow a couple of times to confirm placement, then put the arrow nock on again and tie on the bottom nocking point with just enough space to allow the arrow nock to spin easily around the serving.  If you tie it on tighter than this, the nocks will pinch tight against one another at full draw.  I use serving material but I know a lot of folks that just use dental floss for this.

I have never had a problem with nock high arrow flight from my Shrew.  I only use one nock point.  My bow tuned with the nock point set at 9/16"  That is a little higher than most of my other bows, but that is what shoots the best for me.  I would check to make sure your nock to string fit is what you want.  Too tight or too loose can really mess up tuning and arrow flight.  Good luck.

how high of a nock point? my classic hunter seemed high to me around 9/16 ths could be tiller? i would'nt worry about it if you are getting good arrow flight!!
