Great Northern Kickback Extreme

Just ordered this quiver site unseen.  Anyone got pics of one mounted on your rig?  They are not pictured on the GN website, but I'm told they were a hot seller in Kalamazoo.

I have a kickback that I purchased at compton last year.  What is the extreme???

Bob's newest creation.  He was very enthusiastic about this product.  I think the extreme model has more angle that pushes back fletching 2" more than the Kickback.  It will accomodate any bow, but I think the idea is to accomodate shorter bows.

My son and I both have the kickback (bought at Denton Hill lat summer). Which kicks the arrow back about 3/4" the top bracket is mounted on the back of the bow bottom backet on the belly of the bow (the thicker area of he riser you mount the bottom bracket increases the kickback). Comes w/ spacers to further increase the kickback. We both remove our quivers when we get to our blind /stand and don't use a spacer.
I saw the extreme kickback on the web site (shows the bottom bracket). The bottom metal quiver bracket is longer then on the kickback, which is how you would get the 2" of kickback. I also saw the extreme kickback is mounted on the back of the bow.

If i'm not mistaken, the kickback comes with with the additional rubber spacers?

The Kickback has spacers to use on top and or bottom mounts and you can mount either on the back or belly.  The Kickback Extreme has no spacers and is made to mount on the back for the top and belly for the bottom.

First off, compliments to a very worthy collection of tackle.  After looking at your images I think the kickback model would have been the proper choice.  I'm mounting it on a soon to arrive 62" Stewart Slammer Special.

I have been using the kickback quiver all deer season on my short riser 62" Tall Tines recurve.
Unlike the strap-on ones posted by SteveO, the one I have is the quick mount system that utilizes the limb bolts. This moves the hood and rubber arrow gripper section even closer together compared to the strap-on version. I have not had any issues with this quiver using arrows that have shaft lengths of 32 inches with Woodsman Elite broad heads. You can adjust the distance of the hood to make it closer to the bow and leave the lower section out a little more; this way the angle of the arrows are not only back, but also keep the nock ends out away from the limbs even more. The only thing I found was that when the quiver is loaded with 5 arrows, and I have one nocked on the string with the bow resting on my lap in a sitting position the quiver's wire frame flexes enough so that my flechings on one inside arrows will get messed up a little by the edge of the bow limb. This is not a big deal as when I get ready to draw it springs back to normal shooting position and there is ample clearance. You may not have with problem with shorter arrows, shorter fletchings, or 3-fletched (I was using 4 x 5 inch fletchings) I like this new quiver. Mike

All deep hoods for me now. Not a broad head made the long hood won't cover.

Thanks for taking the time to post pics. I gotta be honest I always liked the GN as is. The kickback does look nice though but I gotta be honest I think the extreme, well just looks extreme for me!

Jon,  Does your son have the kickback extreme or the regular kickback?  Pics would be awesome.

LC,  I'm thinking the extreme, is looking a bit extreme as well.  Unfortunately it's "in the mail".  Guess I'll have to see how it looks and feels and go from there.

I agree with LC . The extreme looks like to much kickback to me.  I have always used the adj strap on. I like the looks and idea of the kickback bit the extreme looks to much imo

I hate arrows sticking out in front of my bow. I have a lot more recurves than longbows thus more Extremes than standard Kickbacks. When Bob added the Kickback versions, he perfected the bow quiver IMO.

And my wife loves that carpet too...I am easy.    :D

Thanks for digging this post up Mitch, I'm ordering the kickback on Monday, looks about perfect on the Shrew so should be right on the Kanati as well.  

I would love to see your full collection of bows and quivers sometime Steve O, just too bad your not a lefty!
