Special Deal on Bear '59 kodiak
« on: February 26, 2013, 01:16:00 PM »
Hey ya'll, I just picked up a few 30 lb Bear Kodiak '59 ers. These are not available anywhere else and can not be special ordered. They are missed weight bows and I have them for sale.

Unfortunately they are still the same price as the other '59 ers but they are unique and only available with me.

we also have just a few other '59 ers in various draw weights.

Call for the rest of the details 229-420-5669
thanks, bigjim

Okay James, you are about as good a person to comment on this as anyone...seems to me that these bows are just as much a 60 Kodiak replica as they are a 59....why do you think Bear chose to call them a 59?
I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I laid the bows on top of each other (new '59 and real '59) the limb design is identical. The 1960 is slightly more refined-the recurve is more recurved. My understanding is a 1959 form was actually used in the making of the new '59. I also shot the bows head to head (both scale 50) using a continuous dacron string-same string on each bow just moved from one bow to the other. Same arrow and same string kept getting the same chrono numbers. As near as I can tell shooting by hand the bows behave exactly the same.

I can't really tell you a thing about the difference between 59 and 60...heck, I wasn't even alive then. What I can tell you is that these are sweet!!!. I sold 5 of them on Friday at the spring fling. Everyone who tried them came back smiling and cussing at the same time. I guess they were hoping they wouldn't shoot that well.

I still have several more coming in other weights and more guys waiting on some of those. You can call and reserve any size we don't have if you like.
I know I have 50lb, a few 30lb plus35 and 45 lb not spoken for and some in LH.

thanks, bigjim

Greg, I have one LH in 30lbs. These are missed weight and can't be ordered. Just have to be lucky to get one an I have one in each r and l hand.
I also have a couple of RH 45lbers available. Maybe a couple other weights like 35 but don't know what hand.

thanks, bigjim
