rest shelf material

I've been using the replacement pads for painting edgers on my rest shelfs.  I peel them off the hard plastic backing and apply them with 2 sided tape.  The bristles are slanted and will help keep the arrow next to the plate if they are pointed that direction.  Pads come in a 2 pack and can be found in the paint deptartment of your store.  I haven't been doing it long enough to know about durability yet, but 2 pads cost $2.50 and will make 16 rests.

I use the fuzzy side of industrial strength self-adhesive Velcro.  Get it at Wal-Mart.  A lifetime supply is pretty cheap.

x2  I purchased a 20' roll a couple years ago and have only used a few inches.  Works great & lasts a while.  I replace it only when I change my strings!

X3 on that self stick soft side Velcro. It's about perfect in my opinion. Quiet, cheap, and durable

I tried the velcro, but thought it had too much friction on the arrow upon initial release. I switched to a feather rest a friend made for me and all I could say was WOW ! Faster, more accuracy quieter.

The idea Dep came up with is real good and I'll have to try this.

Always been a big fan of seal skin.When it got hard to get ,I have tried river otter and also like velcro and think that its is fast ,lasts long and is cheap,accessable,and works good in wet weather and or freezing conditions.

Velcro or Calf hair for me. Both are easy to find, slick, quiet, and durable.

I used Velcro until I got hold of some seal skin...when that runs out, then back to Velcro.

there are prettier/cooler things out there to use, and i have them on some of my bows, but there's no doubt that Velcro is a sure winner.
