Oh its not weather some one will buy some I know I will sell some. Its just the logistics of it! These tabs take 3 separate pieces. The index plate, the shell cordovan face, and the backing. This first run I have cut all the pieces out by hand! Which I did not charge for because they should be clicked out. You don't want to be around me on that day
. I shipped Rod a second batch last week the word is getting out on them. I am moving up in the world I am getting out of my house shop and moving to a commercial building. I just ordered a clicker. This machine will open the world for me. You will definitely see new product available. I am also going to be looking for some part time help. Mainly to do shipping, computer and emails, and all the things that take away time from developing and building new product.
I will never be able to build everything or please everyone. Man even with this tab you get people saying it would be perfect if it was this way or I think if you did this it would be better for my style. When we design this tab we designed it to shot 3 fingers under with a deep hook. We calculated the folding of the leather and how long it needed to be. We even considered the backing and that it needed to be just a tad longer because as it folded around the shell face it shortened up because of the radius.
Now if you shoot off of the tips of your fingers your going to have problems it will not be long enough. Now I can not build dies longer to maybe sell 10 or 20 tabs to guys who like to shoot off of the tips of their fingers. I also can not build custom or one off tabs for what it costs to build a production tab.
I hope this clears some things up.
Thanks Scott
