Memphis, TX TBOT Shoot
« on: February 28, 2013, 08:40:00 PM »
Do any of you know much about this shoot?  I see it is May 4 & 5.  I hunt a ranch down the road and have a place to stay.  Thinking about going.

Memphis is one of the few TBoT shoots I have not been to but I have heard that it is a great shoot. It is just too far for me to go. Maybe some of the N TX guys will chime in with a little more info. If you have the chance you should go. All of the TBoT shoot I have been to are great shoots.

Usually about 80 shooters. Very nice venue with some creek bottom and canyon type terrain. Great camping right at shoot. Come on up and enjoy the panhandle.

Just to make sure, this is not the same range as the one near Wellington right?

Hi Bisch,I have been there a couple of times and it was great,I tent camped and that worked out well. The folks running the shoot had the best food of any shoot I have attended bar none. The terrain is very good for an archery event.

P.S. I ahve not been there since I movet to Louisiana but I would surely like to go again.

Thanks guys.  I am planning to go.  My wife is a teacher and my daughter in second grade.  I asked them tonight if they thought they could spare to play hooky on Friday May 3rd.  If they can't go I may be back with a new thread "who want to go hog hunting on 10k acres for free a day ahead of the Memphis TBOT shoot."
