I haven't posted anything in a while so I wanted to touch base with yall tradgangers and let you know just how much yall have influenced me. I started shooting trad a couple of years ago. Bought a recurve and didn't look back. I have since moved to the longbow and just recently made my first bow, which luckily shoots awesome. I now understand why we have more than one bow, like or dislike woodies, shoot heavy points, define what to each of us is a "selfbow",how 3 seconds with a power tool can ruin 10 hours worth of work, what tiller is and how to get there, build our own strings, bows and arrows. I find myself not getting nearly as upset about the little things in life. I mean, you spend countless hours shaping a bow and WHACK! it breaks on you. What to do? Start another one. This trad lifestyle is sooooo me that second to being a christian, I know of no other single thing that influnced my life more. The wife and kids just shake their heads and smile as I walk out with my old overalls on, pencils sticking out everywhere, and head for the shop for a couple of totally soothing hours of working with wood. Thanks for all the posts and pictures I read and studied in order to get where I am now. I haven't posted any questions yet because with a little searching the answer was already there. I do now have some that I haven't found so be prepared gentlemen. Be patient and remember "knowledge is power".
God Bless,
Critman
